We are looking for teams and players for the 2020 season!
Some information about our league:
The league runs from early May to the end of August. There are no games played on long weekends and only Sunday afternoon games during the Stampede (no Friday night games). All games are played at Flames Community Arenas, one of the most central and nicest facilities in Calgary!
We will feature between 6 and 8 teams with ice times every Friday evening and Sunday during the middle of the day, with the exceptions laid out above. Last season, the two teams that made it to the finals ended up playing 29 games.
The quality of play is similar to division 1 or 2 in most winter leagues. It's very competitive but also managed against ringers. We have the Jr. A rule, meaning you are only allowed to have up to 3 current or former Jr. A(+) players under the age of 30 on the bench for a given game. We do this in an attempt to maintain competitive balance in the league.
At this time, we are looking for teams to come in and compliment the teams we already have! The cost is very low and you can't beat it anywhere in the city. There's a reason why our 5 returning teams have all been in the league for many many years!
If you or someone you know would like to sign up or you would like more information, don't hesitate to contact the league at calgaryhockeyleague@gmail.com |

Congratulations to the Wings who took the league trophy for their second time! They battled hard against the Ice Dawgs and took the trophy home after a game 3 victory. Thanks to every team and every player that played this year and can't wait for next season to start!

Protect Your Valuables |

Due to an increase in the number of theft related incidents at our facility over recent weeks (November 2017), The Flames Community Arenas encourages all patrons to pay close attention to the protection of your valuables while visiting our site. If you are leaving valuables in your automobile, even for a moment, it really helps to keep them out of sight. Also, always be sure to lock the dressing room door if you are the last one out to protect against theft and vandalism.
Ask the Facility Attendants for keys to the dressing rooms. Thank you, FCA Management |

As a part of the hockey community, we were crushed to hear that such an integral part of every hockey story ended in tragedy for a group of amazing individuals. The hockey community is so small, and every conversation about this tragedy removes one more degree of separation. Not only is this the worst imaginable outcome for 15 families, the other 14 families do not have an easy road ahead. As such, the CSHL is proud to have donated to these families to hopefully make even the smallest difference in their lives. We hope you do as well. The link for their GoFundMe page is below. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

The Centennial Summer Hockey League is excited to announce our partnership with Howies Hockey!
As an industry leader with the world's highest quality hockey tape manufacturer, this was an easy partnership for us to make as a league with the highest quality of hockey players. Over the course of this year, and the many years following, we will work with Howies to provide our players with top shelf offers and opportunities available through very few other adult hockey leagues in the country! With their commitment to top end quality and their guarantee of satisfaction, you cannot go wrong.
If you haven't already, contact your captain who has been sent details on this exciting new partnership and find out how you benefit!
We encourage everyone to visit their website at howieshockeytape.ca to see what they have to offer! |

Dear FCA Patrons, Concerns have been raised from our neighbourhood regarding the excessive speed used by a number of FCA Patrons coming to and leaving our site along 22nd Street, 47th Avenue, and more recently in our parking lots. Oftentimes there are children playing in the area. For the safety of all, we ask that you please control your speed and use extra caution in these areas. We look forward to your full cooperation. Thank you, FCA Management |
